Goku hasn't survived the sun, but he has shown sufficient heat resistance.
Goku's finger blocked Trunks' sword, the same sword which cut a guy who survived a planet busting explosion when he was cut in half, ki drained, and battleworn.
Goku also tanked Majin Buu's attacks, Freeza's attacks, and Cell's attacks.
And here's one better than surviving a planet busting attack, completely over powering one of Freeza's greater attacks:

1. Um, I guess if he tagged light he's FTL, unless it was simply timing. However Goku outran light and attacked before the light was gone. That's FTL, and bringing Naruto into this doesn't take away from an entirely differen't character's feat. Nice attempt to debunk the feat though.
2. No, he used chi to harden his fingers, like IRL Shaolin Monks harden their necks to resist spears. And just because it's plot doesn't mean it didn't happen.

1. Who hasn't outran light?.....many other characters lesser than Goku has and aren't considered FTL and neither does the scans proof it......
2. So plot is allowed? So I guess superman surviving the omega beams wasn't a plot test but a actual scene by your own statements meaning if it was a test or not he survived the blasts.

What?.....his based form isnt FTl on any way if he was he would have dodged the mountain BEFORE it hit him or how he should have came in the aid to his friends which he was late in maaaaaany fights not even Instant Transmission is FTl it's limited to him keeping focus and also training x100 earths gravity is cute because he couldn't lift 40 tons.....even with all those "Gravity" training and at based he couldn't lift 40 tons his based is 10 tons and 40 in SSJ.
